JustMiles - just that...
A handy little app to track your movement from A to B. Nothing more, nothing less.
JustMiles is born from my personal need to have an app on a device I carry with me most of the time that simply tracks the kilometers/miles travelled for business using my personal car. Enabling me to have a good overview for expense reasons. Nothing more, nothing less. Just simple Push & Go logic that allowed me to have a simple overview of all my trips without the use of pen and paper.
So, after a while of learning how to correctly program in Swift, combined with tons of little annoying challenges and headaches combined with a lot of trial & error, JustMiles was born! And since I'm lazy and believe IT is her to serve us and not the other way around, JustMiles is filled with nifty little code that makes mileage tracking a no-brainer. And hopefully, you will find it as useful as I do!
JustMiles is a simple, straight-forward and pretty much self-explanatory app that helps you to track your mileage with the press of a button or just by launching the app.
Need to expense your mileage because you use your personal transportation for business? Than this app can help you with just that. It stores the mileage, start & destination addresses, travel time and offers room for comment.
As an app is never finished or even perfect, I absolutely value your honest feedback and suggestions! So, please don't be shy and tell me what you like, don't like or would like to see added in a next release.
Features:
GPS coordinates to address information
Translates GPS-coordinates to readable address information to use in your mileage overviews.
Editable for your convenience
Due to the natural imperfection of the current GPS systems, you can edit the stored trip address information afterwards as 20 meters can sometimes make the difference between two different streets.
Trip data is stored on your device only
No information is shared outside the protective environment of your device (unless you decide to export it). No personal information is stored. Just kilometers/miles and addresses (without house numbers).
Differentiate between Work(W) or Private(P) trips
You can set the default to Work or Private but change it before, during or after a trip. You can also choose to include Private trips in you expense overview, if needed. Just set your expense amount per km/mile and you're done.
Trip export
If you travel a lot of miles, you can now export certain or all trip data to PDF, an editable CSV or printable format for use in other applications. Or just print it all!
Automatic iCloud backup
When enabled, JustMiles will save your weekly overviews automatically at the start of every new week to iCloud.
Trip merge
If you happen to have two separate trips that are actually one longer trip you can merge them to one.
Add manual trip
Forgot to launch JustMiles before a trip? No worries, you can always add a trip manually. Just drag the markers for your origin and destination and you're done. JustMiles will automatically calculate the route, travel time and distance.
SmartStart automatic Bluetooth start/stop technology.
Use your Bluetooth Car Entertainment System connect/disconnect to record trips even when the app is in the background. It also uses Motion Sensing technology so it will end and store your trip only if the BT connection is gone (i.e. the ignition is switched off) AND you move the device, so stopping for gas will not end your trip as long as you don't move your iPhone. It will not get any easier than this!
